Background
An equipment manufacturer receives questions every day whose answers already exist in its manuals and technical data sheets, but nobody can find them quickly.
Approach
Indexing of the documentation with semantic search (RAG), generation of answers with sources, and an explicit refusal when the documentation does not cover the question. Before going live, an evaluation set built with the after-sales team measures the accuracy of the answers; it is rerun after every change.
What the client gets
An assistant integrated into the existing extranet, whose quality is measured rather than assumed, with API costs capped and monitored.
